Guest attgig Guests Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 I had thought El Duque would've made sense with the day off. but, apparently, willie said they're calling someone up?Can't be Pelfrey...so is it:humber? (scratched from starts b/c of food poisoning or possible trades?)Vargas? (rest days match up, but only went 3+ innings on saturday)Lawrence? (8-2 with Zephyrs)I'm personlaly a fan of Brian Lawrence. He's always been really steady until his injury. eats up innings. consistent 4ish era. gives your team a chance to win almost every time out there. great #5 to have in the rotation imo.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 I think Friar Lawrence is our guy. He's a Trachsel for a new generation.
Guest sharpie Guests Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 I woulda moved up Hernandez and Maine and had Sosa go Saturday.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 I'm thinking, just crazy here, that our failure to turn Humber into a reliever at the trade deadline inspires a desire to turn Humber into a reliever, period.I mean, throw him in the Met bullpen for a while.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 Just a question for clarification. How does one pronounce Humber? Do you pronounce the "b" or does it sound like Hummer?
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 Pronunce the B but not the H.Umber
duan Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 forgive me for being confused, but which of our current rotation of Hernandez, Maine, Sosa, Glavine & Perez can't go in their y'know turn?
duan Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 aha, I see the post in KTE that answers my Q
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 "Awrance ... Awrance"Willie confirms that he'll be called up to start Thursday's game.Sosa in the pen for now.
