Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 I'm really looking forward to FOX cutting out of the Mets game to show us Bonds at-bats.(Just trying to see if typing that sentence would actually cause me to burst into flames. Fox sucks.)
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 Jose Reyes passed himself, huh. That almost made her crappy joke funny, pun intended.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 Hey Mr. XFL, it's go-TIE, not go-TAY.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 Doesn't look like Joe Buck is doing baseball this year.I haven't heard him paired with Timmy for a while now.I guess he has to prepare for football season. After all, there's only 7 or 8 weeks to go and it's never too early to start rehearsals.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 FK: Buck seems to be allowed to pick his own schedule. Given that this is a "Game of the Week", and he's the lead announcer, you'd think he'd show up every once in awhile. Perhaps the Bonds chase and a meeting between NY and LA isn't big enough for him and he's waiting for the next Yankees game. Meanwhile, as you suggested, you know he'll be there for every week of the NFL season including all the exhibition games.

A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 Nice. McCarver gives an almost apologetic disclaimer before he recites statistics illustrating that lead-off walks are bad.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 McCarver just said "no-nos." Outta site!
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 Nice baserunning David. Castro time with no outs and 2 men in scoring position.
DocTee Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 Was looking forward to seeing the Mets today, but here in the Bay Area Fox is showing Giants-Brewers. ugh.

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 Milledge's line single to right makes it 2-0 Mets
Guest iramets Guests Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 Two runs driven in by Castro and Milledge, 2-0 middle 2nd.
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 Sosa's living dangerously.
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 Tim McCarver just started a sentence with "I have never been as wrong about...". Instantly, hundreds of like-minded inviduals opened their mouths and raised a single finger.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 I used to buy USDA Choice now I buy USDA Prime. It's Betemit.

Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 hey, you know, if Betemit could only erase his April and May numbers for the season, he could have been an All Star. At least that's what the idiot announcing with McCarver said.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 warning: top of the lineup coming up for the Giants, please be alert for unwarranted intteruptions of the Met game during this inning.

nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 fucking idiots, he was playing CARDS during the playoff game not dominoes!edit- calling the FOX crew idiots, not anyone here
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 Mr. XFL is trying to show his knowledge of the Mets but he's trying too hard by trotting out stories from years ago.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 He's some kind of angel if you know what I mean.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 Who is Mr. XFL?I assume you're talking about Timmy parner here but I don't know who that is.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 Wright hits a 2-run bomb to centerfield.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 Can't remember the last time the meat of the Met order started and cashed in their own 2-out/none-on rally.I agree with McCarver's remark about Beltran making bb look easy when he's going well. That is especially true of his centerfielding.Love that Miller commercial. $11.50 for a hamburger?
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 very lame we're cutting to Bonds mid-inning
