bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 The family wanted to go to the movies so I figured I could skip one game. Instead, I got plenty of baseball as we left the theater in the 10th, got home in the 11th
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 Before the night is over, the Mets would do well to call New Orleans and tell them to get two pitchers on the plane.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 Actually, I just checked and he didn't play with uncle Julio. He did talk about him in the past though, maybe he was a coach in the StL system when Keith was coming up.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 LoDuca 0 for 8,I wouldn't want to be a reporter asking him questions after the game, win or lose.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 How shitty has Cap'n Redass looked at the plate tonight?
metsmarathon Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 y'know... i'm really in the mood for a frito.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 I've gotten 75 spam messages since this game started.Hey, Billy, don't groove anything to Rick Camp.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 When this is all over I'd like to see a list of all of Garner's player and [u:918ed69f3d]position[/u:918ed69f3d] changes for the game. All the Astros are essentially out of positon to start with so it's not like he has anything to lose, but Man, he's made a ton of them tonight. Must have had at lest 3 different 1Bs and RFs alone.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 Billy violates the 'Thou shalt not bring the tying run to the plate' rule ... but then gets out #2.* And I just became Tom - tonight's long ago starting pitcher - Glavine
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 How do we score this game for the suds?
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 Give some to Ruben and not much to Lo Duca.

metsmarathon Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 bonus points to green and beltran, i would think...
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 Atlanta and Philadelphia both lose, and the Mets are 3.0 and 5.5 games up on them, respectively.

Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 ="metsmarathon"]i'm so not into mcnuggets...Anyone else notice this commercial was filmed at the McDonald's across the street (N. Clark) from Wrigley Field?
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 An earlier post correctly stated that the 'pen could use a fresh arm. Pelfrey will not be needed until a week from Monday, if at all. If Ollie and/or Sosa returns, and Williams pitches well today, then Pelfrey won't get another turn. OM should send down Pelfrey and get another reliever for today's game.
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 I can't get enough of re-watching Beltran's catch.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 I can't get enough of that McNuggets commercial. I dunno -- something funny about the kid when he tries to get fierce.
