Fear not -- Willie must have a plan to bunt us back into it.

Was that the blind Feliciano on the mound?

Howard hurts the baseball with a line smack off the wall in right.

I could hear that ball screammmmmmmmm .

The old 6-2-3 keeps this one within the realm of the possible.

Kick out the jams, motherfuckers !
Yeah! I, I, I, I, I'm gonna
I'm gonna kick 'em out ! Yeah !

Well I feel pretty good
And I guess that I could get crazy, now baby
'Cause we all got in tune
And when the dressing room got hazy, now baby

I know how you want it, child
Hot, quick and tight
The girls can't stand it
When you're doin' it right
Let me up on the stand
And let me kick out the jams!
Yes, kick out the jams
I want to kick'em out!

Yes I'm starting to sweat
You know my shirt's all wet
What a feeling!
In the sound that abounds
And resounds and rebounds
Off the ceiling

You gotta have it, baby
You can't do without
When you get that feeling
You gotta sock'em out
Put that mike in my hand
And let me kick out the jam
Yes ! Kick out the jams
I want to kick'em out!
( guitar )

So you got to give it up
You know you can't get enough Miss Mackenzie
Cause it gets in your brain
It drives you insane
With the frenzy

The wigglin' guitars girl
The crash of the drums
Make you wanna keep-a-rockin'
Till the morning comes

Let me be who i am
And let me kick out the jam
Yes, kick out the jams
I done kicked em out !!!

So we really need to take the next 2, imo.
Cant let these Phils even THINK they can climb back into this race.
Cuz they cant.

Aside from Hamels they just dont have the arms.

If they are gonna be just a thorn in the Mets side, as they have other NY winning seasons, Ill have to hear this everytime I go out in my Met hat or jacket.

So if they need motivation, please somebody impart this to them.
Zvon does not wanna have to hear it.

From this IGT:
I don't think Heilman is getting demoted. Schoenweis hadn't pitched in a week; Mota since Friday, but Heilman threw 2 innings on Sunday. (The good outings for both were of course encouraging).

Agree that the timing of the Endy PH seemed very strange.

From Shea:
Plenty of Philly fans in the stands but nothing too annoying, fortunately.

The Journey song was part of the ongoing music for the evening -- anything that had "city" in the title/lyrics, as it was "Citi Employee Night at Shea" which was endlessly promoted all night. (Other song choices included We Built this City, Summer in the City, You Belong to the City, etc etc.). My top-5 list of City songs (City of Blinding Lights - U2, Living for the City - Stevie Wonder, In the City - The Jam, My City of Ruins - Springsteen, and My City Was Gone - Pretenders) went unplayed. Coincidence?

Glavine needs to remember that unless he can field it cleanly, he's got to let those balls go through and let the 2B/SS get them. That's what got the Phils 3rd inning rally going.

Schoenweis pitched around Utley in the 8th with nobody on (granted, there was one out). I don't really have a problem with Feliciano challenging him, but...just sayin.

Johnson made a nice play on Rowand's double in the 9th. His throw was in plenty of time, not sure what happened on the slide/if/how Easley botched it.

We played sloppy. We need to remember how to properly execute a rundown.

This loss seems worse than the Zito/Webb losses (good pitchers) or even the Sunday game. Today we really shoulda won.

No issue with Easley's handling of the throw: It just short-hopped him and required that extra motion.

Not saying our offense sucks bhmc but we've scored 2 runs or fewer 3 of our last 4 games.

"We Built this City"

Awful

"Summer in the City"

Pretty OK.

"You Belong to the City"

Kill me now.

The game within the game between Moyer and Reyes in the seventh was fascinating,I hope Reyes learned a lesson there though,Moyer said afterwards that he was surprised that it worked, he was just showing Reyes something and it caught him.
