1. You have to love a man with a Napoleonic complex.
2. Manager/Umpire arguments are not far removed from playground fights.
3. I wonder what game that first clip came from and what call provoked the fight.
4. At the end of the first clip Weaver goes to talk with his pitcher despite being run out of the game. The umpire makes no effort to stop him.

"Team speed for Christ's sake? You get goddamn fuckin fleas on the fuckin bases gettin picked off tryin' to steal, gettin thrown out, takin runs away from you. ... Get them big **********s that can hit the fuckin ball out of the ballpark and you can't make any goddamn mistakes."

You think he'll get in the Hall of Fame? He has only one World Series win, while Dick Williams (also a harsh personality) has two and remains on the outside. But he's got an .063 edge in winning percentage and that's a spicey crabcake.

Looks pretty bad for him that Orioles ended up winning their second championship during the Altobelli Interregnum.

OK, the first one's real, but is the second one? Where's it from?

I'm guessing the second one is real too but that it was done tongue in cheek to give the interviewer a hard time.

Earl has been in the HOF since 1996

Probably on the defense that he led one team to a sustained run of excellence despite the lone championship while Williams probably gets lumped in with the Billy Martins (Buck Showalter might be lumped into that conversation as well) of the worlds as good to motivate a team to get to a certain level, but can't quite get over a hump, and his run in Oakland is probably seen more of a "push button" job (hell Alvin Dark won the year after)
