Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 Gameday is telling me that the Marlins have scored 3 runs in the first inning with no outs recorded. Please tell me that Gameday is wrong.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2007 Author Posted May 1, 2007 What Gameday isn't telling you is that Pelfrey needs to still be in New Orleans.I don't think the delayed steal of home is a good play.

Too bad there isn't a more experienced pitcher in the rotation to make it possible for Pelfrey's demotion and seasoning.Of course I'm sure someone will explain to me how the Mets being down three runs before they even come to bat is the fault of our sucky offense.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 The Mets were down three runs before they even came to bat because of their sucky offense.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 They have experienced guys. I think they want this to work out.The offense hasn't spoken any better so far than the defense. I don't think we should draw broad conclusions.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 Well Pelfrey looks better.I'd like to see Wright whack the 1st pitch he sees here
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 Fuckadoodle. How many dumbass outs will we make on the basepaths this year? I think Sandy Alomar has already sent as many men to theoiir deaths at the plate than Acta did all last year.
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 I know this will be answered in a minute, but was Delgado actually senthome on that second out at the plate of the game?oe: and fuckadoodle

I swear Acta cost the Mets 10-15 runs last year on his Townshend-style windmilling. Alomar, for all his bad calls, still has a few to go I would think. (Point holds, though).
Guest iramets Guests Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 Nice to see Wright coming around. He's just too sweet a hitter to go permanently sour.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 Really? I don't recall thre being a whole lot of angst with Acta. I know there's been maybe a half-dozen or more stupid outs made at home already this season.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 It would be really cool if we could wave a couple home and get Pelfrey off the hook here.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 Last 3 in the Marlin lineup here, it'd be nice if Pelf could get through 'em.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 Pretty just that he gets pulled out because he failed to cover first.Fire up the Kangaroo Kourt.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 And Damion makes the play easily.Release Pelfrey from the hook.
Guest iramets Guests Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 ="Johnny Dickshot"]Good.I want to call himThe Prophet.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 Funny that they send up Newhan here, after Gary and Keith mention that Gregg gets lefties better.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 His butt flies out against righthanders. What do you with that?
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 ]His butt flies out against righthanders. What do you with that?Have him work on it in New Orleans. Could Andy Tracy be worse?
