Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Success is good. Hitting through the lineup.I wonder if we'll see more of Beltran at two. It's likely now to happen the next time Blastro starts behind the dish.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Wright taken out to rest his streaking bat for tomorry.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Exie Hank Owens is in.He's been as good as Joe Smith so far.

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 I'm getting the Marlin broadcast. They've had Miguel Olivo mic'd and he's said absolutely nothing all night. And now....KABOOM!
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Nine bases on the evening for Beltran. How do we Schaefer this one?
Guest iramets Guests Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 The LOBs don't seem to be bothering anyone tonight, but I tell you there would be calls for blood if they'd left all these guys on base in a close game.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 When it comes to ass kickins, it is far better to give than to receive.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 The Dutchman's not the kind of manwho can work his way out of a jamand hold the Mets down. But that's a secret only the Marlins know. From Amsterdam in Hollandto the shores of South Beach in Miami, they believe in him. They think he'll bloom into a front-line ace.He looks as rushed as he can be,but the Marlins only see that sometimes. And soon they'll see themselves slipping out of the race.So let them come to the banks of the ocean, where Citi Field rises alongside Flushing Bay.Twice before the Marlins won the World Series crown, but as of now we're kicking their ass today. Not a masterpiece I know, and I went a bit obscure for the source material -- but I couldn't resist playing on the image of the Dutch pitcher and the slamdunk of substituting 'Marlins' in place of where 'Margaret' was in the original.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Wagner snapped the other streak, the scoreless bullpen innings. Oh well.I don't think that was Borchard's Johnny Cash entrance music, I think that was "I Walk the Line" for the guy batting ahead of Borchard who got walked.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 ]The LOBs don't seem to be bothering anyone tonight, but I tell you there would be calls for blood if they'd left all these guys on base in a close game. And it'd been a close game for sure if they didn't score S - I - X freakin runs, all with 2 outs, in the third inning.

duan Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 the best thing is though that they really are capable of stomping all over teams. Alou's made a big difference here. I mean Shawn Green's started as well as we could have hoped and a lot of the time we've been batting him 7th.I just hope willie rests Moises enough.
