Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 Didn't really expect to see Lo Duca.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 He'll get his injury, whatever it is, looked at after the season ends.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 Just tuned in,Mets up 2 - 0 ,what happened?
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 I turned it on at 3-0.Not a great start for Dontrelle, huh?
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 No it's not,and now it's 4 - 0 with the bases loaded....2 out.
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 I don't know if the current Mets have a kangaroo court, but what the hell wasthat non-slide into second by Alou? The only thing you can control in a base-ball game is hustle and grit, and ya gotta make that throw to first as difficultas possible.
Guest iramets Guests Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 Good call. I'm listening on the radio, so I didn't see it, but ya gotta hustle.
Guest iramets Guests Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 metirish wrote:No it's not,and now it's 4 - 0 with the bases loaded....2 out.Marlins go quietly in the bottom of the first, as someone used to say."Don't ask, Dontrelle" seems to be the policy tonight.
Guest iramets Guests Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 A walk for "Belch, Ron" as Tom McCarthy pronounces it, followed by D-Wright's 25-straight-games single. First and third, two out.
Batty31 Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 Willis is having a meltdown....8-0
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 I don't know about Reyes going home on that wild pitch. Do we really need Reyes to be sliding into Willis at the plate with a seven run lead? Thank god he didn't hurt himself.
Guest iramets Guests Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 Haven't you heard? He's Jackie Robinson.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 The Marlins' scoreboard has, in their photo of Green standing in Times Square, Borat in the background giving the thumbs up.I'm amused.
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 I don't have the sound on loud, they were talking about it on SNY broadcast.I don't get the joke, but I haven't seen or know too much about that guy or themovie.

Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2007 Author Posted April 18, 2007 The two errors in the first killed the Marlins...but it wouldn't have mattered much. Mets were smacking Dontrelle around.Beltran's shot was a direct line drive, just barely over the scoreboard in left field. We'll get some delayed love for him here...
Guest iramets Guests Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 Jose now has as many doubles as triples (3)--surprised it took him this long to catch up.
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 With the sound down low and doing some stuff I didn't realize that a no-nojust got broken up ... probably best because I would have typed somethingabout it and got blamed for the forty some odd years of no no-nos not gettingput to rest.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 Isn;t Joe Bordhard responsible for some other crime against Metdom?I'm thinking he hit a crushing HR for them against us last year? Right?
Guest iramets Guests Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 Chavez pinches for Maine, who gave up 2 hits and 2 runs in 7.

Right?Yes. Definetly. I remember this from talking to the Marlins fans (yes, they do exist...in small numbers) at Spring Training.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 Good stuff from Maine tonight. It was great to see one of our starting pitchers lead off the seventh inning...hopefully that trend will continue for him.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2007 Author Posted April 18, 2007 Found it. 2-run homer against Glavine in the bottom of the 8th on May 27th last year. Was inconsequential though, Mets won 7-4 (was 7-1 at time of homer).
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 TM: >>>It was great to see one of our starting pitchers lead off the seventh inning<<<Not to mention bat in the top of the first too.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 Thanks. That Borchard is always making it less of a blowout for them.
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 I'm a little worried about Heilman, it took four pitches in the ninth.
