Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 Purpose:Name and number the Mets in ascending order to 700+, one at a time.Rules:Mets are numbered by their *appearance in games* not their appearance on a roster or whatever. Guys debuting in the same game would be listed by the order in which they'd be announced, IOW, by batting order.List the guy, his number, and the date he debuted in your post. It might look cool if you copied the list until your guy then boldfaced him.I will start:1. Richie Ashburn (April 11, 1962)
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 1. Richie Ashburn (April 11, 1962)2. Felix Mantilla (April 11, 1962)
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 Actually these are too easy to do one at a time, so I'll go:1. Richie Ashburn (April 11, 1962)2. Felix Mantilla (April 11, 1962)3. Charlie Neal4. Frank Thomas5. Gus Bell6. Gil Hodges7. Don Zimmer8. Hobie Landrith9. Roger Craig10. Ed Bouchee11. Bob Moorhead12. Herb Moford13. Clem Labine14. Jim Marshall (all April 11, 1962)

Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 Elster88 - "IMHO, rogers should not be allowed to post in this thread."Well, Jeter and A-Rod have never been Mets anyway.
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 *pause*Are we to assume that JD will referee because he's already done somelegwork? Or, should we just jump into retrosheet data and build and argue?Yancy could run an sql statement and produce the list hisself.*/pause*
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 I probably could. So I'll sit this thread out unless I'm asked to verify something.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 I have no idea who's next myself at most points., I picked up the count at 600ish a few years back and have been pretty steady since but for all I know everything I think is right could be wrong.1.
