Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 This is the latest Christopher Guest & Company mockumentary. I'm planning on seeing it tonight, so I'll post my review later.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 Not a mockumentary actually, but still largely improvised. I like movies where Eugene Levy gets to be funny instead of stupid.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 I was disappointed by this. It had its moments, but they were few and far between. It felt like it could have been funnier and it should have been funnier, but it just didn't tap into the humor of the situation as much as it could have. In the past this group has been more successful in doing that, but they fell short this time. And the normally excellent cast seemed to be a little flat this time around. It's watchable, but you can easily wait for DVD or cable for this one.
Guest sharpie Guests Posted December 4, 2006 Posted December 4, 2006 The weakest of the Christopher Guest movies. I hated it til about halfway through and then warmed up to it. Stick to the mockumentary stuff and stay away from Hollywood.
RealityChuck Old-Timey Member Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 OK, but a step down from the other Guest films.
Vic Sage Old-Timey Member Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 i couldn't make myself sit through the entire thing. I tried twice. It was just too awful.
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 I find it better on repeat viewing. But it's not out-and-out funny the way Guest's troupe's previous films are.
