It's at least as much of a benefit for Glavine, if not more.

Well one idea out there is that Tony would go with Carpenter on 3 days rest on Tuesday. I think it would benifit the Mets, if he burns his ace before the series returns to Shea.

That wouldn't make much sense. If the Card win, he has his ace ready to clinch; if they lose, he has their ace ready to pitch to stave off elimination.

LaRussa sez Weaver starts tomorrow.
Which makes sense really. Carpenter would be set then to pitch game 6 in NYC for either the clincher or to avoid elimination.

Yes Cooby but it's not to watch the weather,it's for the hoodlums that go to the games.
