Steve, here's the postseason roster. Unless you're advocating that they take 12 pitchers and only 13 position players, who would you leave off?

Hernandez
Glavine
Trachsel
Maine

Wagner
Heilman
Mota
Bradford
Feliciano
Hernandez
Oliver

LoDuca
Castro
DiFelice

Delgado
Valentin
Wright
Reyes
Franco
Woodward

Floyd
Beltran
Green
Chavez
Tucker

Bradford gives up 1 hit in his scoreless 7th inning.

No need to flip to the Jets game - the SNY booth is practically providing play-by-play updates.

Miledge hustles and makes a very nice diving catch in left.

Mota is pitching. The booth is debating whether Heilman or Wagner will get the tune up inning in the 9th.

Mota finishes a 1-2-3 8th inning.

I'd give it to Aaron, just for being a good sport about being in the pen all year, especially during the Lima-Gonzalez fiascos

More importantly, Aaron needs the work.

And, in fact, he will pitch the 9th.

Heilman gives up one run in the 9th. 6-2 is your final.

Cheap Washington organization had to steal the Blue Jays old bullpen chairs.

And THAT my friends is your 2006 Regular Season

97 up, 65 down. NL East Champs, Best record in the NL, tied with some other NY team for best record in the whole darn MLB!

PUT THAT IN YOUR BOOKS!

Nice to head into post season with a four game winning streak. I can't wait for Wed!

Apparently Mota gets credit for the win, the official scorer exercising his discretion to give it to the reliever who was most effective. But it seems kind of a raw deal for Hernandez.

Seems like a raw deal for Perez, I think.

He wasn't lifted for being ineffective. I think given his 4 innings, he should get the discretionary win.

It would have been nice of Willie to give Perez the 5th inning. He pitches well so infrequently he would have been happy to get the W.

I agree with Irish. Tuning up for Wednesday is more important than Oliver Perez's W-L record.

It also would have been nice to allow Beltran to come up another time with a couple of some all time team records within reach.
