Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Fundies, Nats. Fundies.Since I'm the only one watching tonite: They had leadoff double, single (Vidro stayed at third). Vidro then gets pickled on an infield grounder, and neither of the other runners advance. Finally, we get a strike-em-out, throw-em-out to end the inning with the 8th place hitter up.We shoulda had that David Wright benefit concert, I tellya. Can't screw up those Reyes on 3rd, 1 out situations.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Green hits a long dinger.

Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Hey, I finally get to use the KABOOM thing Zvon tinkered with.1-0 Mets on a vicious swing by Greenie.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 The Rabbi of Swat.Jeez, nice catch by Nook.
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 I know Zimmerman hit a 3-run double, but I haven't seen anything after that.My connection is being a bum. What's the score now?
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 3-2 in the middle of the 5th.We scored our 2nd run on walks to Dook and Beltran, a long Wright fly got 'em to 2nd and 3rd and Dook scored on a Floyd groundout.Glavine had a decent 5th.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Reyes steals # 62...anyone catch U2 and Greenday on MNF?,pretty cool.
Guest cooby Guests Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 I hope they made a very very big tribute to the people who took refuge (?) there and especially to those who died while waiting for help.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Wright screws up another potential big inning. Boo.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Wright has been terrible, warning track power lately.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Beltran has three bases-on-balls in three trips. Frank Robinson's plan is to put his walking gait to the nine-inning test.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Omar in the booth with the guys and says he's not worried about the Mets problems against leftie pitching...there is a plan B if Pedro ain't ready for game one, although Omar thinks he'll be fine.
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 "McClellan calls the game like he's on a Valium or something".Awesome, Keith.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 The other guys in the booth have been joking about when Keith is going to get another memo from management. He certainly doesn't handle the job like he wants to stay in the business for long.

He certainly doesn't handle the job like he wants to stay in the business for long. No, he doesn't, but his candor and frankness is pretty refreshing and kinda funny to me. He's like the guy that's fun to hang out with having a couple of drinks at a bar, but you're a little afraid of what he's going to say when you're around people you actually respect.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 I love Keith,I wish he were doing the playoffs on National TV.

metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 The guys are thanking all the SNY crew and showing them on TV, they show some kid named Anthony....Keith - " he flirted with my wife yesterday".....maybe it's because he's calling a winning team but gary sure sounds like this season was a blast for him,I think keith and Ron probably had a lot to do with that.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Jim "Post Concussion Syndrome" Edmonds has tied up the Cards-Padres game with a three-run pinch-hit homer.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 It would be nice to actually win a few games going into the post-season.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Well, throughout that September slide, at least our fearsome bullpen stayed solid.'Till tonight.Wright's due up this inning, and he's already left the Brady Bunch on base tonight.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Infield hit. It's a start David.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 OK, tying run on double-deck. Get the party started.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Mets lose 7 - 3..no more home games until the playoffs....who we will play is still to be decided.
