Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 Tucker's RBI gives the Mets a 3-2 lead.Is Wagner in shape to go for a save?
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 Wagner is fine, warming up Gary said.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 Pistachio is hitting for Dumbo with the bases loaded, one out.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 Pistachio strikes out, Thugmasta due up.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 Ricky Ledee is a waste of a roster space. Even with an expanded roster.

Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 We win with the B squad. Awesome.
Guest KC Guests Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 Thank god for a quick game and another win ... I might sleep until Thursdayand skip tomorrow's action.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 You won't want to miss tomorrow's game. Rumor is Omar is going to bus in the Binghamton Mets to take on the Marlins.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 So does Tucker make the post-season roster?, he's a good bat of the bench.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 Tucker is better than Ledee, for sure.

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 Hating on a guy the day after Thank You Day. Wow.Anderson Hernandez had seven total bases in his first 71 at-bats. He had five in three at-bats today.HIs first career homer. His first RBI. His first two-hit game. His first extra-base freakin' hit. Only his second fuckinfreakin' walk. Did he take a pill or something?
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 ="metirish"]Today would have been Bob Murphy's birthday, his widow and daughter are at the game.....thanks to gary for the info.Indeed. They were welcomed by name and shown on the Diamondvision between the 3rd (?) and 4th innings. They then cut to some nice images of Bob and some of his famous calls ('73 clincher, '86 WS victory, etc.) Nice tribute.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 Should have started this lineup against the Pirates.
RealityChuck Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 My favorite tidbit: The last time Julio Franco started at third base, the guy playing to shortstop next to him hadn't even been born.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 If Glavine had lost the game 2-0 or 2-1, he could have strangled the life out of Willie and a jury of Mets fans would have found him not guilty on grounds of Justifiable Homicide. Later
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 I imagine Glavine was perfectly content with the lineup out there, as were the fans.
Guest Yancy Street Gang Guests Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 Glavine's job last night was to tune up for the NLDS. Not to pad his career win total. If he lost and was angry about it, he would have been wise to keep it to himself. I'm sure few Mets fans would have sided with him if he had exhibited such selfishness.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 Main two things I wanted to see from last night were good games from Glavine (regardless of W/L) and Milledge.Check and check
