A little White Sox mojo for the evening...

Just a small town girl, livin' in a lonely world
She took the midnight train goin' anywhere
Just a city boy, born and raised in south Detroit
He took the midnight train goin' anywhere

A singer in a smokey room
A smell of wine and cheap perfume
For a smile they can share the night
It goes on and on and on and on

Strangers waiting, up and down the boulevard
Their shadows searching in the night
Streetlight people, living just to find emotion
Hiding, somewhere in the night

Working hard to get my fill,
everybody wants a thrill
Payin' anything to roll the dice,
just one more time
Some will win, some will lose
Some were born to sing the blues
Oh, the movie never ends
It goes on and on and on and on

(chorus)

Don't stop believin'
Hold on to the feelin'
Streetlight people

Charlie got tossed-
u see the gum fall out of his mouth when he was arguing?
I guess it could have been worse.
It could have been his false teeth, lol.

Was anyone else as rattled as I was when Reyes smooshed his hand,
head first sliding into second on that steal earlier?
Looked to be out, too.

Great relief job by both Feliciano and Bradford.
After 7 and a half its 4-3 Phils

Mets gotta get something going.

Journey sucked ...

I used to be on an endless run.
Believe in miracles 'cause I'm one.
A have been blessed with the power to survive.
After all these years I'm still alive.
I'm out here cookin' with the band.
I'm no longer a solitary man.
Every day my time runs out.
Lived like a fool, that's what I was about, oh.
I believe im miracles.
I believe in a better world for me and you.
Oh, I believe im miracles.
I believe in a better world for me and you.
Tattoo your name on my arm.
I always said my girl's my good luck charm.
If she could find a reason to forgive,
Then I could find a reason to live.
I used to be on an endless run.
Believe in miracles 'cause I'm one.
A have been blessed with the power to survive.
After all these years I'm still alive.
I believe im miracles.
I believe in a better world for me and you.
Oh, I believe im miracles.
I believe in a better world for me and you.
I close my eyes and think how it might be.
The future's here today.
It's not too late.
It's not too late, yeah!
I believe im miracles.
I believe in a better world for me and you.
Oh, I believe im miracles.
I believe in a better world for me and you.

He could rebound, but he'd have to have a massive September.

.....hold em here Heilman.

BTW, Abreu's run as a MFY, as well as Ryan Howard's post ASG performance would take the Home Run Derby excuse out of the argument for post HRD slumps FOREVER! (it won't of course)

I was thinking the same thing, 80+ AB's with no home runs..

Web Gem Woody makes a beaut of a play going to his left to catch a liner off the bat of Abraham Nunez, a few innings after Reyes did the same exact thing to Nunez.

Abreus HR drought since the '05 ASG is what started the whole thing.

That's one of the arguments against the creation of these "regionalized" divisions that someone's always suggesting. If the Mets were in a division with the Phils, Yanks, & BoSox (an example that's often proposed) then Philly & Boston would both come into town for about 38 games per year.

Then you'd REALLY be sick of them

I don't know, it didn't hurt the old 8 team leagues when they did it that way in the 154 game scheds.

I think it would add real juice to Yankee-Met games, and not the artifical juice that gets the media and team members (and managers) down on the Subway Series. Though to be honest, the way the media makes Joe Torre out to be, sounds like he'd rather be in KC than with the Yanks with all the big pressure games the Yanks play! So maybe its the media projection an annoyance for high profile matchups!

Yup, and clearly that was just a slump from a Kevin McReynolds/Bobby Bonilla quasi star who was supposed to be THE guy instead of in the constellation

]Well come on let's go, let's go, let's go
Little darling
And tell me that you'll never leave me
Come on let's go and do it again

Well now swing me, swing me, all the way
Down there
Come on let's go little darling
Come on let's go again once more

Well now I love you so
And I'll never let you go
Come on Baby so
Oh! Pretty baby I love you so

Well come on let's go, let's go, let's go
Little darling
And tell me we'll always be together
Come on let's go again and do it again

Well let's go, let's go, let's go little sweetheart
And tell me we'll always dance together
Come on let's go and do it again

I Still Believe (Great Design)

I been in a cave
For forty days
Only a spark
To light my way
I wanna give out
I wanna give in
This is our crime
This is our sin

But I still believe
I still believe
Through the pain
And the grief
Through the lies
Through the storms
Through the cries
And through the wars
Oh, I still believe

Flat on my back
Out a sea
Hopin' these waves
Don't cover me
I'm turned and tossed
Upon the waves
When the darkness comes
I feel the grave

But I still believe
I still believe
Through the cold
And the heat
Through the pain
And through the tears
Through the crowds
And through the cheers
Oh, I still believe

I'll march this road
I'll climb this hill
Down on my knees if I have to
I'll take my place
Up on this stage
I'll wait 'til the end of time
for you like everybody else

I'm out on my own
Walkin' the streets
Look at the faces
That I meet
I feel like I Like I want to go home
What do I feel
What do I know

But I still believe
I still believe
Through the shame
And through the grief
Through the heartache
Through the years
Through the waiting
Through the years

For people like us
In places like this
We need all the hope
That we can get
Oh, I still believe

Never mind, Ryan Madson in the game

Heh, almost typed in Madsen

Clowns to the left of me
Jokers to the right
Here I am, stuck in the middle with you...

Too bad, Rhodes never does well when he sees an NY on the opponents cap!
