Guest KC Guests Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 I've been on tenterhooksending in dirty looks, list'ning to the Muzak, thinking 'bout this 'n' that. She said that's that.I don't wanna chitter-chat.Turn it down a little bitor turn it down flat.Pump it up when you don't really need it.Pump it up until you can feel it.Down in the pleasure centre, hell bent or heaven sent, listen to the propaganda, listen to the latest slander. There's nothing underhandthat she wouldn't understand.Pump it up until you can feel it.Pump it up when you don't really need it.She's been a bad girl. She's like a chemical.Though you try to stop it,she's like a narcotic. You wanna torture her.You wanna talk to her.All the things you bought for her, putting up your temp'rature.Pump it up until you can feel it.Pump it up when you don't really need it.Out in the fashion show, down in the bargain bin,you put your passion outunder the pressure pin.Fall into submission,hit-and-run transmission. No use wishing now for any other sin.Pump it up until you can feel it.Pump it up when you don't really need it.METSReyes ssLo Duca cBeltran cfDelgado 1bWright 3bValentin 2bTucker lfChavez rfGlavine pPHILSRollins ssVictorino rfUtley 2bHoward 1bBurrell lfRowand cfCoste cNunez 3bLieber p
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 When Milledge first got called up and was throwing guys out left and right I thought he would be a stud in the outfield. Now I'm relieved that the 3.2-run handicap that comes when he is in the lineup is avoided today.
Guest cooby Guests Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 Walked away to go brush my teeth, stopped in here to read IGT, sounds like I might not want to go back to TV
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 The strikezone is as big as a barn door tonight.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 Not a bad idea Cooby, this team has no life in it right now.....
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 Valentin with an infield hit, Mets third of the night.....
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 Gary says that Strawberry will be at the celabration Saturday night.
Guest KC Guests Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 I wonder if Straw wondered if he might get boooed.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 Nobody's watching the game tonight.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 3 nothing Phills, would be worse except for a nice play by Beltran.....
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 I'm watching...not sure why.Oh, yeah. My wife's watching So You Think You Can Dance. This piece of crap is marginally better than that piece of crap.
Guest KC Guests Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 It's all Gillian's fault ... never trust a Rickman.
Guest cooby Guests Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 I ordered some log home stain from him; I hope that I did the right thing.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 This is the same crap we did last time against Leiber. He's supposedly a sinker-ball pitcher but we're forever popping him up.We got fortunate w/his error last game.No such luck this time so far.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 Nice bunt single by Chavez....Leiber with a low pitch count will probably go nine,Ledee pinch hits for Glavine.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 Reyes misses a lot of catchable line-drives.Either he fumbles them like he just did there or justmisses them with poorly-timed lunges and leaps. It's one of the things that I think is keeping him from being an elite defensive SS. He's got the tools to be one, but he isn't yet.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 Well that about sums up this trip, LoDuca just hits one foul....
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 The 'NOFFENSE' has returned.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 Evidently, this is getting worse before it'll get better.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 Well this sucks, Leiber with a complete game five hitter,100 pitches...great work from him but the Mets offence is MIA.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 This team couldn't win a Little League World Series regional playoff game right now.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 I thought if I shutup our luck would change.Nope.This is embarraskin'
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 It was a rough game to sit through. At least it was a mercifully quick one.Turkey Hill ice cream and the knowledge that we still had a 12 game lead helped get MK through the night.
Guest cooby Guests Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 Turkey Hill ice cream was 2 for $5.00 at Weis's last week. You could have stayed home and saved time and money.Didn't see you on TV either
