The Met fans as a whole shouldn't snub their noses at Yank fans for booing ARod. They were booing Beltran after like one game....including some folks on this site, IIRC.

Songs in the mail Elster88.

One of my all time favs.
My pleasure sharing it, np.

So we have to once again pull this thorn out of our side, that is the Cubs.
And we will tomorrow.

We BETTER be ready for Zambrano.
Rise to that occasion.

If cokeheads are yelling at you in muliple incarnations, it's a sure sign that you need to change your ways.

And only for a year! And I thought Max Kellerman of 1050 ESPN Radio was the only one that thought he was "good"

Sad to say but anyone who suited up for the Mets in more than one season makes the top 500.

Well, you have to fill 500 somehow.

I was really just jokin - its all good.

I cant wait till I finally crack the top 50 and get a CPF avatar....

My winning streak -- like Trachsel's -- had to end someday. Took in the game along with the CPF's own FK in nice seats on a comfortable night with lots of Action. Not only do aluminum bottles keep your beer xtrra cold, they make terrific noisemakers when smashed against the box railing. I smashed the rail on my Mezz box until it turned back into blue.

Can't be too mad when they give up 8 runs yet bring the tying run to the plate as often as they did.

My complaints are but 2: Traxxx. Bad. As said above, a little less Trachsel andwe win.

Woodward. Nady's on second after clobbering in Floyd, who clobbered himself. No outs. Don't be grounding to third.

- The noise from the banging Aluminum bottles also annoys the Cub fans in front of you

- Tonight's game's sponsor/giveaway was 'Popcorn, Indiana': [u:1df6c97aff]America's Best[/u:1df6c97aff] All Natural Kettlecorn
No it isn't.

You know, sometimes I get really tired of this SBS BS, like anything I say or do will affect the outcome of any game....

What foolishness.

What, not to sound completely nuts (They're coming to take me away, HA HA!) but this team has all the warning signs of the aforementioned and other collapses through the years. You could give me that shred. Small shred, but untill the Braves are 20 out, I'm not discounting them

What warning signs? They win 8 out of 10 and then lose two in a row?

You seem to want a collapse, so that you can enjoy agonizing over it for the rest of your life. I think that's something you can discuss with your therapist on your own time. We don't need to keep seeing Thumb Boy pounding the panic button.

Wait a minute. Can that be right?"

Heh, guess I'm sounding too much like a Red Sox fan huh.

Think I'm just looking at this year as a, well anomaly is too strong of a word since natural progression should suggest that this was coming, but it does seem more like a team thats playing over its projected average than say the 1986 team which was great before and after 1986.

Or maybe I just want a decent September race so I don't have to worry about how rough of a schedule the Giants have early on! =;)

Projected?

The Mets are winning only slightly more (2 games) than their runs scored & allowed say they should: Take them away, and there's still a comfortable lead.

No, they're not the 1986 Mets. They may very well be eliminated in the first round because their pitching isn't as good as we'd like.

But invoking historic collapses of the past is just ridiculous. It may happen, of course, but to worry about it at this point is just masochistic. If you can't enjoy a 12-game lead in late July you probably aren't cut out to root for a winning team.

I'd enjoy it better when we burn through Atlanta ala General Sherman this weekend!
