Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 No reason so far for the switch from Oliver or what moves were made to get him up here.(acc to WFAN)
Guest Hillbilly Guests Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 I remember Maine! I think with a nice outing he takes Soler's spot.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2006 Author Posted July 3, 2006 Soler demoted - although he's going to get his leg checked out in NYC first.Apparently he was complaining about something with his "drive" leg last night. I just hope it's good enough for him to be able to drive to Norfolk.(on edit: slow typing)

Braves #15? Please, AOL/TW have the pursestrings so tight that, well they had to give a rookie pitching coach with NO MAJOR LEAGUE experience a shot at replacing a legend and the pitching staff has fallen apart faster than a shoe ignighted by one of his hotfoots. Smoltz has gone on record saying that the young players are acting all "Don't worry its coming" and not doing anything about it. Betcha Smoltz and Larry are deadline deals, Andruw is probably too much of the "face" right now after his MVP run last year to be dealtNationals? Sure, once the ownership decides what in the hell they are doing in Washington. I mean Soriano is on the block, no one knows exactly whats going on down there. The division is ours by default. I'd be geniunelly worried if 7/31 comes without significant starting pitching help. And I'm starting to think more than one would be sufficient for postseason play
Theoldmole Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 Soler to Norfolk is necessary. Maybe he'll pull it back together. I wouldn't give up on Maine just yet.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2006 Posted July 5, 2006 Speculation now has Pelfrey starting Friday night with Maine going in one game Saturday, today is decision day with Pedro,if he needs more rest Lima will take his start.
