Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 I really dig those All Star Game commercials.

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 LoDuca leads off with a single and is now 3 for 4 on the day.Nice.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 I didnt like the look of that play off the mound at all.I wont even mention that he shouldnt have tried to glove it-I just hope he aint hurt, and if you saw what he was saying under his glove, and I really couldnt, you gotta be worried that Trax may have aggravated his back problem.Damn.I sure hope this isnt the case.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 Jeter hits into the Pepsid double play!ewwww
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 Yea--now would be the time for A Rod to go yard.Mets up 8-3
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 Gameday has this to say -]New York Mets pitcher Steve Trachsel left the game due to an injured groin. This isn't good - do we have any idea how serious this is?

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 what you posted there is actually the 1st Ive heard of a groin problem.CBS Sportsline has this game note:]Pitcher Steve Trachsel of the Mets left the game after suffering a possible back strain.Reports from Fox on TV say he's fine and dandy.
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 Wait, Joe, what's this about Wagner blowing a 4-0 lead. I didn't here you the first 18 times.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 WOW!Wags was lights out.Franco with the nice catch to--OH NOESSS..Wags may have jammed his ankle!Thats all we need.
Guest old original jb Guests Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 I feel much better now.Except for the part about Wagner maybe getting hurt. Can't a Mets fan ever just have an uneventfully nice day?
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 Report from the house of evil:MFY fans too busy trying to boo down the Let's Go Mets chants to boo Slappy.Umps screwed us. McClelland took even longer to call Cap'n Intangibles safe at first than he does to call balls and strikes.I'd estimate at 75% MFY fans, 25% Mets fans, which is slightly higher than it seems to usually be in the Bronx for these games.I love being able to see the people leave after Cap'n Intangibles grounded into the double play and ask "Where are all these people going? Is there a fire? What's happening? The game's not over yet!"
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 I really used to like Tim McCarver, but he needs to just shut the hell up. He remarked today that the Yankees "have had more than their share" of injuries.Hey, Tim -- BULLSHIT. Jeter hurt? Unit? Giambi? Posada? Mussina? Damon? A-Rod? What? None of those guys has been hurt all year? They've lost two outfielders and a pitcher? That's it? Shut the F up, Tim.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 One of the Yankee play-by-play man set Leiter up with a puffball yesterday. Going from memory..."There's been some controversy about Wagner using 'Enter Sandman' in New York. Of course there's only one Sandman. Mariano Rivera. One of the great entrances in all of sports. (Huh?) Al, you were part of that for a bit. Was there anything quite like seeing Rivera coming in to 'Enter Sandman'?"Al, apparently missing a memo, was having none of it."Well, there was Hoffman in San Diego with 'Hell's Bells. Hoo, boy!""...well, oh, yeah, sure."
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted July 2, 2006 Posted July 2, 2006 Anyone see Raissman's column Friday? (maybe I saw it here).Anywhoo, suggests Justice's recent YES rip-job on Arod came on orders from Steiny. Justice evidently was arguing just the opposite the other day.
