Last season a thread was created by YSG based on the fact that the Mets seemed to be straddling the .500 mark all year long. They eventually finished over, but the entire year it was either going up to .500 or going back down to the .500 mark. A perfect example of sheer mediocrity.

This year the Mets are 40 wins away from clinching an over .500 record, rendering this thread useless, on 6/15/06 The closest the Mets have been to going under is 1-1 after the first two games of the year, then ripping 7 straight, and they haven't seen .500 since
