Sucks to be a D-Backs fan right now.

Boy did Ortiz look relieved to be leaving the mound.
Ha.
Mets stake Martinez to a 3-0 lead.
So do your thing Pedro, and get that 6th win.

Love to know how many D-Back fans actually know why Todd Pratt should be forever known to them as Todd F'N Pratt.

Heard that one time he was introduced (not sure if this was 2000 or not) and all he got was the general "yeah you play for our opponents today" boo that opponents always get rather than the rancor an Aaron Boone, Bucky Dent, Mookie Wilson, ect, ect, ect get

Willie to Elster: Who's the clown now, sucka?

These IGTs have more play-by-play these days than color.

They say the triple is the most exciting play in baseball, but i dunno about that.
Plays at the plate are pretty hot.

HEY! They hit Milledge.
Make em pay by movin him over Pedro.

Castro blocks the plate beautifully on chavez's bullet home, there'd be an arizona run on the board right now if loduca had been playing.

I think it would be more difficult for Castro to not block the plate, he has a good 5 inches and 50 pounds on LoDuca.

Pedro settles in to a 1-2-3 2nd inning. Nice!

LoDuke tends to get out in front of the plate more,
but with that throw by Chavez I thinks its unfair to say the result would not have been the same for Loduca.
A sweep tag also would have gotten the runner there.

Nice easy 2nd inning for Martinez :)

Woodward is 2 for 2 now, as Ron talks about cupping.

I wasn't listening to the beginning of that discussion, so I can only assume what he means by "cupping".

Cant say I totally followed that myself.
Something about how he holds the ball.

Good pitch.

Strike one was about five inches off the plate and probably high as well.

By the way, Mark Grace and his disgraceful announcing is out of the booth this afternoon and I'm gettig Hall-of-Famer Joe Garagiola going to work for his son.

milledge takes strike 3 with the bases loaded.
But id rather see him patient like that, running the count and lookin for one pitch, than be over agressive and swingin wild at anything close.
This sounds silly, but i liked that at bat by him.

He had it set up to look for his pitch.

Wasn't there audio circulating last season of Grace calling a game drunk off his ass, a la Sutcliffe's appearence this season?

I don't understand the thread title. Is it about that telephone number song again?

Mercy is for the weak. Here, on the streets, in competition, if a man confronts you he is the enemy. An enemy deserves no mercy.

Reyes drawing walks like Adam Dunn.

Hitting for a comprabale average too, but I'll take what he can get.

Reyes with his second base on balls for the day.

This is what we need to see from him.
Hes got a decent number of hits and he needs to up that OBP to be the kind of lead off batter he should be.

Cuz he gets to 1st and 2nd is as good as his--like there-
Reyes steals second again.

First pitch lined between right and center and bounces to the wall. This team runs well.

Lip-reading Willie reveals "Get in the gap." It did.
