Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 HAha-Wright walks for another run.ComeON Chavez.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2006 Author Posted June 7, 2006 Endy gets it done...sort of. RBI but an out. Now's your chance Jose.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 Chavie grounds into the force but another run crosses the plate.Okay Valentin--you heard Edgy. That double earlier was nice but this is make up time.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2006 Author Posted June 7, 2006 Ouch. That's gonna erase a lot of the good will he'd been building up.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 Damn--a non productive out as Val pops up to 1st.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 No hi5's for Milledge- Ks to end the rally.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 Milledge swings at a ball 8 feet out of the strike zone. Horrible job by Valentin not even driving in the runner on 3rd. This game reminds me of Sunday. Ugly, winnable, and will likely result in a loss.New Rule: No more throwing away potential double-play balls.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 I don't http://www.top-tattoo-designs.com/tattoo%20design/heart%20tattoos/heart-tattoo-1-outline.gif http://www.top-tattoo-designs.com/tattoo%20design/heart%20tattoos/heart-tattoo-1-outline.gif very much this evening.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 Well, now I can spare a little. Sweet DP by the B-Team.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2006 Author Posted June 7, 2006 This guy Saito -- I know he's Japanese -- but he looks a lot like Mariano Rivera.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 Guess Kaz dont want his job back.Ks to lead off the 8th PHing for Bell.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2006 Author Posted June 7, 2006 Tom McCarthy reports that the Mets clubhouse "erputed a bit" when some random minor leaguer hit a bomb off Roger Sh*thead Clemens this afternoon.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 WHAT!Furcal pops a bunt and Delagado gets it on one hop--and the Mets get no one!
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 Oliver gets em out of it.Well, we got one more try.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 Gagne in to close it for the Dodgers.Delgado and Wright strike out.Met batters have struckout 6 times in a row-Chavez pops out to center to make this night one of triple unhappiness
apmorris Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 just got in from game. plenty of met fans in attendance.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 Reading through this IGT was not the best way to start my morning. No fault of the members, you can only work with the material the team provides. Last night pretty much sucked from start to finish.I hope Reyes and Floyd don't miss much time. The line up suddenly looks a lot less formidable when Floyd, Reyes, and Nady are all out of action.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 I didn't get to see or hear the game.After reading this IGT, I'm glad I didn't.That must have been ugly.Later
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 The new avatars are nice, but lend themselves to confusion.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 I zonked early in this one but thanks to Junior's 4:45 am screeching, was able to view the 1-hour condensed version on "Mets Rewind."That sucked too.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 ]The new avatars are nice, but lend themselves to confusion.Yeah, I realize that. Sorry.A big part of the problem is that, since so many of us joined on the exact same day, small waves of us go through a level at the same time.Future posters, God willing, will join more sporadically, while posting at more divergent rates.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 Simmons attended yesterday's game]1. As recently as five years ago, any local crazy enough to suggest that Nomar and Pedro would ever face each other on non-Boston teams would have been banned from WEEI, beaten up at Sully's Pub, thrown off the bleachers at Fenway or committed to a mental institution. They owned the town during 1998-2001; nobody else came close. Even now, ranking the greatest Boston athletes in terms of "how high their popularity climbed at their absolute apex," both guys easily crack the top 12 along with Orr, Bird, Williams, Havlicek, Cooz, Clemens, Yaz, Flutie, Brady and Big Papi. Now Pedro was facing Nomar in a freaking Mets-Dodgers game? What was next, Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman reuniting for "Weekend at Bernie's 3?"
