Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2006 Posted June 5, 2006 Liked it. 4 stars. I like movies where SPOILER SPACEmajor characters are killed.
RealityChuck Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2006 Posted June 5, 2006 Decent drive-in entertainment (where I saw it), but ultimately a forgettable popcorn movie.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2006 Posted June 6, 2006 I'll probably see it this weekend. From the buzz I'm hearing it's less intelligent than the previous two. I take that to mean that it's more of a dumb action movie with costumed characters. If that's the case, too bad. I really liked X-Men 2 (much better than the first one) and I was looking forward to the third. They're saying that there won't be a fourth, but they'll likely do some spinoff movies, most likely with Hugh Jackman starring in a solo Wolverine movie.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 Fun movie, but not as good as the second one. My expectations had been lowered, so I can't say I was disappointed. But following X-Men 2, I was hoping for, and expecting, a better movie than this one was.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2007 Posted June 11, 2007 Just watched it this past weekend. A couple of cool spots here and there, but the storyline kinda sucked. I don't understand the point of bringing back Jean if she is just going to do that weird exorcist type thing.I liked X-Men 2. Big letdown.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 not as good as the first two at all. just bumping this so it can be move to the proper section
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 No, it wasn't.See my note in the Marvel Movie Update thread about the twist at the end of the credits.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 My cousin, Brett Ratner, is good at doing one thing - making blockbuster movies that make tons of money and air forever on weekend cable but lack a great story. He did it again with this one, which I've refused to watch based on what I've heard about its plot.
