No generic Minor Leaguer hand-me-downs available?
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 Gotta love Retrosheet. In the 2 seconds of game footage leading to that commercial, you can identify the exact game (4-2 Met win, complete game for Gooden). Carter had just struck out:http://www.retrosheet.org/boxesetc/B09170NYN1986.htm
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 Raffy Palmeiro, hitting number two of his 569 career homers.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 D'oh, that's the division clincher.

(or whatever inning it was)Or did you look at all the Cub games that year?

No dice, so I went to 86, found one example, and the fact that Guy Huffman relieved him confirmed it.
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 11- run inning against the Cubs. A Grand Slam!

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted October 7, 2006 Posted October 7, 2006 Amazing.Clemens looks like a kid. A jerkface kid.Carter already had his shinguards and chest protector back on.I never think of it from Mrs. Yawkey's angle.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2006 Posted October 7, 2006 Who was on deck for the Mets? In the replay of Mookie's grounder from behind Buckner you can see him flip his bat way in the air and jump for joy.
