Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 the scouting report says to effectively negate the "ex-team factor" with Julio and you can get to him.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 I didnt hear any boos for Julio there and now's the time they should be booin him. Cuz he's on the other freakin team now.He 1-2-3's the mets.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 And then they pinch hit for him. Dammit.Just got home...wow, what a game!
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 Councell with a 2 out double.Valentin tries to throw the ball under the turf to second.David Wright with a nice play to get Sanchez out of it.Ni(yawn)ce

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 LEAD OFF DOUBLE FOR VAL!Castro will PH.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 Hmm, strange. Figured he'd bunt and try for the "any ball to the OF wins it."
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 I would have gone to Glavine to bunt. It's a better bunting situation than the one where he HAD Reyes sac-cing.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 Castro weakly grounds out---but Valentin goes the third.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 Alright, same effect. Endy Chavez as hero seems about right, especially with some good PH appearances the past 2 games.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 The April whipping boys come thru with the win!!!!
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 10th game won in last at-bat this year.
stevejrogers Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 Man we have had a rash of these long games this year.Granted nothing compares to the 20s we'd pull back in the 60's.Wonder games tended to last longer back then? If I had the time, or the inclination I'd probably spend a few hours at retrosheet figuring out an answer!
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 It's only 10:30 though. Typical bedtime for a nine inning game featuring Trax. Two fast workers pitching outstanding ball.
Theoldmole Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 I wonder what the record is for most innings played in a 162-game season.
Guest cooby Guests Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 Too bad they can't retroactive it to Pedro
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 ="cooby"]Too bad they can't retroactive it to Pedro......really.
