Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 I thought we determined the last time this happened that it would be Delgado, with Glavine in left field.

Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 Last time it would've been Nady at first.Tonight...Floyd, I think.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 Oliver needs a ground ball double play right here.
Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 Holy shit. Amazing play by Reyes. I was sure that was a run for the Phillies!

Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 Wow.Paul LoDuca leads off the 13th still without having made amends for the non-play that cost us 4 runs.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 Gary got deked on that liner.Started calling it a hit before it found grass ... er glove.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 That was HUGE.The Phils announcers already yelled BASEHIT!I love it.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 Well, that will do if you wish to do it the hard way.

C'mon, maybe that cost us a run, but he didn't serve up the gopher ball. And he didn't walk the runners.

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 Delgado is the best choice, but since he's invaluable it may be better to put the most disposeable player in there. At this point, I'd probably go with Delgado though.

Maybe Chavez then?

nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 well are you trying to win the game at that point (you've gotta use delgado, presumably the only guy with catching experience) or trying to avoid an injury to your star hitter?i'd put chavez or matsui behind the plate. if the mets lose the world isnt over. if delgado gets hurt playing catcher the season could be in jeopardy depending on the seriousness of the injury.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 Whiff of Beltran! How much could Madson have left in the tank at this point? What a game for that guy.
