I guess Roger Clemens would be the answer. I admired him early on when
on the Red Sox, tired of him from time to time, hated when he went to the
Yanks, really hated him after that game one nonsense with the bat, started
to respect him again when teamed up with that other devil-man on Houston,
biding my time to see if I'm gonna hate him again for running to the Yankke
payout to be the savior - but the guy is/was one muthah of a pitcher.

Clemens has always done just enough to retain the image of a "gamer," but close inspection says nay.

Heck of a pitcher for a long time. Deserved Hall-of-Famer. Near Met. Strikes me as a phony, though.
