Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 A little lame in some places, but funny enough to read:http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=caple/offbase/060426
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 Is that legal? I know it's a free column and all, but I figure someone is going to get sued somewhere. Someone always gets sued
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 Is what legal? Posting links? The short answer is yes. Leading people to an article violates nothing.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 To clarify: Is writing an article using someone else's copyrighted characters and then posting it on your web site legal?
Guest Yancy Street Gang Guests Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 I think it falls under the category of satire, which is legal. Otherwise Mad Magazine would have been shut down years ago.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 I think it would be safe since it is clearly a parody which is allowable.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 Yes - I have done some minor research on this issue, and parody is permitted free speach. Caple's safe.
