Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 You know, the worst part is that our team, for all its injuries, was STILL better off than Atlanta's.We're missing Cliff & Beltran; they're missing Chipper, Renteria & Giles--not to mention Hampton. And their scrubs aren't really any better than ours.bleh. This was a crappy fucking game.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 This is why WWSB likes to say that you never get too high when you're winning or too low when you're losing, he's very even keeled.
Guest old original jb Guests Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 Everybody break out the panic hats!!The season is ruined!!
Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 If it's any consolation, Diaz probably wouldn't have helped very much: 6 AB, 3 K, 0 H, 0 BB against Hudson.
Guest Yancy Street Gang Guests Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 I was loving the thought of a game-winning homer by Delgado.

Join the pity party! This game is CLEARLY an omen of things to come: peeps injured but taking up bench space; ballgames lost to bitter rivals due to errors by our marquee player; scrubs getting most of the playing time while better players languish in the minors, etc., etc., etc.148 games later, we will look back to this game and say, "THIS is where the season turned."
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 For what it's worth, I was kind of encouraged by today's game, loss aside. If Glavine pitches this well, we'll have a nice 1 and 2 going.Too bad our 3-4-5 is loaded with question marks.
Guest heep Guests Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 The only thing to look forward to now is another shutout by Pelfrey tonight.
Guest mlbaseballtalk Guests Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 Ah screw it, image was too freaking huge, suffice to say Doom will have his revenge on the accursed Atlanta Braves!
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 Endy Chavez better not be starting tomorrow.Do you think you made enough comic book references mlb? Maybe you should squeeze in another 10 or 15.

Guest cooby Guests Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 They certainly brighten up an otherwise gloomy IGT
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 Just watching the replay of the game, Wright had himself a rough day all over the place.

Guess we are gonna have to give Kaz his seasonal shot at a position sooner or later.Im thinkin later......
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 That was like the shortest game ever and you guys still managed to run the IGT up to 12 pages. Nice pitchers duel with a bad ending. The wind was blowing in something fierce so Andruw (sic) Jones really crushed that ball. Bah!
Guest cooby Guests Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 Poor Willets, what a boring game to choose to go to

Im thinkin later......I'm thinkin' that Hernandez is going to be out probably longer than 15 days, and has geen a drag on the offense. I don't see how this isn't the obvious move.

The main disappointment other than the loss was that the game went by so fast compared to the 9 hours of driving we did to get there and back.
