Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted May 17 Posted May 17 This is where the decision to have Raley pitch the second inning yesterday kills us.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 17 Posted May 17 It's probably not a thing, but I think the Mets are 1-132 when the word "condom" appears in the thread title.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 17 Posted May 17 That Taylor substitution paying the wrong kind of dividends.
Marshmallowmilkshake Old-Timey Member Posted May 17 Posted May 17 I confess I did not have a lot of confidence in Manaea.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 17 Posted May 17 Ewing should have walked several pitches earlier, but he took a 3-1 pitch that clearly was a ball, and when the ump blew the call, he didn't challenge it, and forced the pitcher to throw three more pitches before walking him anyhow. He's terrific. Let's hit for Senger here.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 17 Author Posted May 17 A rubber game has been posted as a condom game before as Fman would attest It's just not working today, yet

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 17 Posted May 17 Yanx in the game: 5 runs on 3 hits Yanx just in the 6th inning: 4 runs on 1 hit
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 17 Posted May 17 In a game full of borderline B/S calls, the first challenge finally comes in the 7th inning on an obvious bad call.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 17 Posted May 17 And when you can't get it over after starting 0-2, you are probably gassed.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 17 Posted May 17 If the Mets can bop their way back into this (and they still have nine outs), the Yankees have burned their bench.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted May 17 Posted May 17 They gave this game away. Baty not being sent. The walks. HBP. Error. Failing to challenge the call at 3rd. Mets are a mess all around.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 17 Posted May 17 I always get a boost after Bichette's spot in the order is cleared.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted May 17 Posted May 17 Three runs is not an insurmountable lead. Theres no reason to keep running Manaea out there.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 17 Posted May 17 Baty swinging 2-0. Insane. This guy can't find the plate.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted May 17 Posted May 17 Swinging at ball 3 when you’re down 3 is not the right move Baty.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted May 17 Posted May 17 Now Semien first pitch swinging. Unbelievable
