Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted March 3 Posted March 3 It's the Mets versus everyone in the world's favorite country, Israel. David Peterson will be starting for New York. Discuss.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 4 Posted March 4 Carson Ben-Gay breaks the hitless run with his first spring homer!
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted March 4 Posted March 4 I read that quickly and pictured this guy.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 4 Posted March 4 Here in the seventh inning, the Israelites tie it up on a homer by Cardinal prospect Zach Levenson off of Adbert Alzolay.
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted March 4 Author Posted March 4 Levinson with a JeruSLAM to tie it up.It's getting late in the game, I imagine Israel is looking to raise their score, just like they did Gaza.(Too soon?)Also, every time something is hit to left field they should say it was hit to the "West Bank."(The West Bank is ironically located on the east side of Israel. But it's on the west side of the Jordan River.).
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted March 4 Posted March 4 Israel takes a 2-1 lead as Cole Carrigg hits a one out triple then scores on a double by RJ Schreck. David Peterson gave up one hit, no runs and whiffed 4 in 3 innings of work for the Mets. Christian Scott followed with 2.2 innings of relief. Scott allowed 2 hits and no runs. Struck out 5 Israelites. After that it has been a parade of "who is that?" out of the Mets bullpen.
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted March 4 Author Posted March 4 Christian Scott striking out Israelites sounds very Old Testament.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 4 Posted March 4 Stopped screwing around is what they did. Also, Mets prospect Jordan Geber was on the mound for Israel, and clearly he was compromised by mixed emotions.
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted March 4 Author Posted March 4 This game should be like 40-2 Mets. The people on the Israeli team are hardly formidable. This Agresti fella that's up at bat has been in pro ball since 2018, yet hasn't played beyond indy ball. And it's weak indy ball, too, the Frontier League.
