Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2024 Posted August 2, 2024 Mendoza was saying that Tylor was going to be the 100-MPH bullpen guy. That didn't last long.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 2, 2024 Posted August 2, 2024 There's plenty of time for that. But right now, he's the reliever-with-options-who-just-pitched-a-few-innings-of-long-relief guy, and all teams need that guy.
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted August 4, 2024 Posted August 4, 2024 Megill should've been traded.Blackburn did better than I expected.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2025 Posted August 16, 2025 Short for damn ****ing awful I reckon. He dominated here in Syracuse. Like it matters tho
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2025 Posted August 17, 2025 More like Bleakbum, because every time this bum pitched was bleak.Another failed David Stearns transaction. We shipped off high-quality former third round pick Kade Morris for this guy!Blackburn --> failureMontas --> failurePoche --> failurePop --> failureUrena --> failureCarrillo --> failureZuber --> failureHelsley --> failureLovelady --> failureGarza --> failureStanek --> failureDavid Stearns --> failure
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 17, 2025 Posted August 17, 2025 Lest it go un-noted by anybody else, your accounting is arbitrary and inaccurate.
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2025 Posted August 17, 2025 Impossible, I'm always right. I'm infallible and without flaw. I'm 70% infallible and 40% without flaw. I never make a mistake.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 19, 2025 Posted August 19, 2025 Blackyburny has cleared waivers and been released.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2025 Posted August 19, 2025 Pack up all our cares and woes,He really sucked. Now, there he goes.Bye Bye Blackburn.Later
DocTee Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2025 Posted August 20, 2025 My pick for dark horse of the year. Derided by some as his having a proven track record and therefore ineligible for consideration. I guess we’re both wrong

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2025 Posted August 24, 2025 In fairness to Blackburn, he was good for 2-1/3 after coming in w/runners on and 2-out in 6th. He got out of that inning then pitched a scoreless 7th & 8th in a game which wasn't yet out of hand (5-1). But Yanx' bats did nothing while he was there before the roof fell in on him in the 9th. Under normal circumstances he would have been relieved after a couple runners. But he was essentially hired to give other relievers time off so Boone left him out to dry and he eventually faced 11 batters in top-9 and giving up 7 runs without even anyone warming in the pen.
Elian Pena St. Lucie Mets - A SS In St. Lucie's Wednesday doubleheader, the 18-year-old shortstop went 3-for-7 with a walk and his 7th and 8th doubles. He's hitting .346/.460/.481 (.941). Also 8 steals in 9 attempts. Explore Elian Pena News >
