Edgy MD Site Manager Posted 2 hours ago Author Posted 2 hours ago The Mets went 2-for-19 against him that season, working out two singles (both by Ike Davis), one walk (Fred Lewis?!), and a hit-by-pitch (David Wright) against him in 5 1/3 innings. Rubén Tejada also reached on an error against him, and Jason Bay stole a base after pinch-running for Davis. That's a rocking .105 / .190 / .105 // .296 slash line. Twelve of his 17 outs against the Mets came via strikeout, and all in all, considering how ridiculously dominant he was, that wasn't the worst showing. I mean, it was awful, but the Yankees went 0-for-7 against him, with five strikeouts.

Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted 51 minutes ago Posted 51 minutes ago One of those Ike Davis hits was a game winner so huge I thought it would turn the season around EDIT: Couldn't find evidence of that. Instead it was a 9th inning single in 2013 that snapped Ike's 1-for-42 slump. we lost the game anyway and Kimbrel got the save
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted 21 minutes ago Author Posted 21 minutes ago How thrown-in was the towel in September of 2012 that they even let Fred Lewis bat in the ninth against Kimbrel? After Freddy, it was Mike Baxter (pinch-hitting for Jenrry Mejia) and leadoff hitter Ronny Cedeño. Terry Collins had the Mets limping home.
