A former 8th round pick, he made a single appearance this year -- it was his debut -- and tossed a scoreless inning. For his minor league career, he is 18-24 with a 4.35 ERA in 106 games (54 starts). To make room for them, they DFA'd catcher Shawn Ross, who went to waivers and got claimed by Toronto. Shawn had been claimed from Pittsburgh a month earlier. No apparent relation to Dylan Ross.
