The strange ethic permeating the game is that, when a pitcher is doing well, you strategize over how quickly you can get him out of there, and when a pitcher is doing poorly, you strategize over how long you keep him in.

Pitching is a great deal like real estate....location, location, location.

Velocity is great, but location and movement is extremely important.

He was basically trotting into third.  His lack of hustle is infuriating to me.

Freddy Peralta is now tied for the league lead in losses and has averaged barely 5 innings per start this season. He has a 7.36 ERA in July, a 6.80 mark since June 1 and a 5.80 mark since May 1. He really sucks ... and all he cost us was two of our most prized prospects!
