MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted July 19 Posted July 19 Did he have another restaurant in mid town? I seem to remember walking past one in the 50's close to 6th avenue. Later
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 19 Posted July 19 Yes, there was a second Rusty's in midtown but it didn't last very long. I went there once but the decor was all fancy midtown so, for me, not up to par with the original. For a time I was hanging around with. a girl who lived in the neighborhood nearby so I went to the 3rd avenue one a bunch of times.

Close to all baseball players were listed as hunters in their bios, whether they did it regularly or not, and it tended to be more unusual for a mid-century young man from Louisiana to not be raised to hunt. Gingexpos of the time (using a lot of non-Expo shots here because in 1971 most players wore their hair short and hid it under their cap) included: Carl Morton Ron Fairly Gary Sutherland (possibly more strawberry blond) And maybe Bobby Wine kinda? Also backup catch John O'Donohue had some eyebrows that would make the Heat Miser proud. whippoorwill 1
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 19 Posted July 19 Ronny, on today's broadcast, just let out that Phil Mankowski, after hanging up the cleats, became the manager of Rusty's.
