ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted Wednesday at 11:42 PM Posted Wednesday at 11:42 PM This game will not be on Apple TV Luis Robert Jr is rehabbing. I guess we could see him and Christopher Morel soon LGM
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted Thursday at 05:35 PM Posted Thursday at 05:35 PM Who do you think Morel is going to replace? Presumably, Robert knocks Mauricio off the roster but I'm not sure there's a spot for Morel, unless and until selloffs start happening.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted Thursday at 09:38 PM Posted Thursday at 09:38 PM Game times/networks for this series: Friday: 7:15 (PIX) Saturday: 8:08 (FOX) Sunday: 12:30 (NBC) Monday: 7:15 (SNY)
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Morel isn't even on the 40. I don't know that he's up soon unless something weird happens. Plus, there's the whole "he's not all that good at baseball" thing. He basically Mark Vientos. MFS62 1
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago LOOK WHO'S LEADOFF! I don't want to make too much of it, but this is massive! METS Starting Pitcher Christian Scott RHP 2-0, 3.20 ERA, 53 SO Lineup A.J. Ewing (L) CF Juan Soto (L) LF Bo Bichette (R) 3B Francisco Lindor (S) SS Carson Benge (L) RF Jared Young (L) 1B Francisco Alvarez (R) DH Brett Baty (L) 2B Luis Torrens (R) C ATLANTA Starting Pitcher Grant Holmes RHP 4-4, 3.96 ERA, 69 SO Lineup Drake Baldwin (L) C Ozzie Albies (S) 2B Matt Olson (L) 1B Mauricio Dubón (R) LF Michael Harris II (L) CF Dominic Smith (L) DH Austin Riley (R) 3B Mike Yastrzemski (L) RF Jorge Mateo (R) SS
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Atlanta isn't, and hasn't been, playing well: 5 - 14 in their last 19, their one-time 9.5 G lead down to 2.5 Last night the Cardinals scored 3 in top 1st but the Braves came back with 5 in the bottom half. That kind of 1st inning lightning was, for the last couple of years, their signature move and once it happened the game was essentially over. But in this case the runs were kind of cheap to start with -- walks, soft hits, and then Dom Smith got a favorable bounce off the pitchers foot which turned into a bases-clearing double -- and then they were blanked for the next eight frames which bit them when the Cards turned in a seven-run 7th. 11 - 5 was the final.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Once they move Lindor up ahead of Soto and Alvarez ahead of Young, they will have the lineup that will win every remaining game.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted 59 minutes ago Posted 59 minutes ago Lindor's braids are suddenly resplendently long. Anybody following this funfest?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted 15 minutes ago Posted 15 minutes ago How do you expect me to concentrate on baseball with all the goings-on over at MSG? I mean, we're going to have an In-Reception thread, right?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted 11 minutes ago Posted 11 minutes ago Thru 5 innings the first two Mets in each inning have made outs ... except for the Matt Olson error which came with one out so there they tried to make the first two outs of the frame but the Braves wouldn't let them. The Soto HR followed.
