What's your over-under on the number of starts Freddy has left in a Mets uniform?

I say 2.5. I think there's a lot of utility in moving a pitcher of his caliber early, and letting another team get a couple of extra starts from him.

That's almost certainly not going to happen, but is an intriguing suggestion, in that both packages have lost value since the previous trade.

The term "Getaway Day" should be rebranded as "Tyrone Taylor Day."

They're wearing red uniforms today in honor

Toronto's listed bulk reliever Spencer Miles tops out at about 35 pitches of late

I don't know that they can stretch him out today and have him being effective

Then again it's only the Mets offense

Well, if you're not watching, it's worth tuning in just to see the outfield wall covered end-to-end in Canadian flags.

I suppose if I were hip (or Canadian) I'd know who Terrence and Phillip are. But I'm neither so I don't.

Whatever trade value Peralta had is dropping with each outing. He's been hit pretty hard in 3 of his last five outings prior to this one.

I can't care a bit about trade value.  Today is all that is guaranteed.  And only kinda.

Justin Willard and Jared Young are the Mets house Canadians.

They should have called up Jonah Tong and then they could have been the home team today.

Good news: Peralta limited the damage to one run

Bad news: He's nearing 100 pitches (OK, it's 27 or so but it's still a lot)

Like Manaea and Senga before him, Peralta is a different guy from inning to inning.

Like they leave it all on table dominating folks and then they've got nothing in the tank after that.

Is there a .200 hitter who hasn't homered against the Mets this year? It feels like they all have.
