MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Wasn't Scott on the IL with "impingement"? Someone will have to be dropped to make room for him. Later
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago He recovered quickly Charles Rangel is pitching for Phillies MFS62 and seawolf17 2
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago No, Charlie is in the home whites. MFS62 1
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Alvarez is sure getting yo-yo'ed up and down this lineup. Mets up against a lefty and he's batting last. Also against a lefty, Young and Baty are in the lineup but Waggy is watching from the dugout. I'm not sure Lindor batting cleanup was the mark I wanted to see Green but on this team, but at least he's out there two days in a row. ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I saw something that gametime is 5:20, like now
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago We're off and running. Crash Christian K's Trea T to start the game. Home Whites held hostage: Day # (I don't even know) K - BB - K - 1B - FO ... so not the cleanest of 1st innings, but a scoreless one.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Opening with two scoreless innings from a starter is a nice hurdle to clear.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Nice 'bunt' Ewing. Now don't get picked off.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Scott had Harper in an 0-2 hole but was afraid to throw strike three until 3-and-2. Not a winning way to be. Radar 1
Radar Old-Timey Member Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Thinking to myself....be careful here and bam home run.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago More two out runs. That's three of the four the Phils have scored in this series.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago This kid behind home plate has a #3 HIT A HOMER FOR ME! sign. When Benge isn't up, he turns it over and it says THE COMEBACK BEGINS. That's a believer.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Now the kid has a THANK YOU, MENDY! sign. A champ, that child is.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Scott's day ends after 82 pitches and 4 1/3. I disagree.

The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted 51 minutes ago Posted 51 minutes ago i tried looking up the percentage their total runs the Mets have scored with 2 outs this season, but Google AI said that is not a statistic that is regularly tracked. Further, digging with ChatGPT, stated the Mets have scored 311 runs with 121 being with 2 outs, which is 38.9%. Surprisingly, slightly better than league average.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted 41 minutes ago Posted 41 minutes ago Andy Green likes to yank starters also The offense remains the same
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted 39 minutes ago Posted 39 minutes ago Soto! Bichette! A threat-like thing!
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted 38 minutes ago Posted 38 minutes ago Quote .. the Mets have scored 311 runs with 121 being with 2 outs, which is 38.9%.. Surprisingly, slightly better than league average. Yeah, that's what I have too. The issue with the NYM offense isn't when they score their runs but the run total itself. Their runs scored per 0 outs, 1 out, and 2 outs and consistent with MLB avg. But the pitching skews higher with two outs which means they're ALMOST getting out of innings without further damage but too often don't. During the last PHI series several of those 3R & GS homers came w/2 out. So just a couple of 2-out ABs converted into outs could have cut their runs against significantly.
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted 37 minutes ago Posted 37 minutes ago Lindor's calf appears to be pretty healthy.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted 35 minutes ago Posted 35 minutes ago And here's to balls down the line rolling into the corner, the way God intended.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted 31 minutes ago Posted 31 minutes ago Four straight balls to Young and now five straight to Vientos (he just happened to swing at one of them).
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted 23 minutes ago Posted 23 minutes ago That's the Mets second four-run inning in their last 12 games which goes back to the start of the series vs Cincy. The other came in the lone win v the Reds when they won 9-1. Of course they only occasionally scored four in a game during that stretch.
