ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago We have a direct engagement with a division rival whose fan base reaches into much of south NJ Manaea gets the start. He will not be piggybacking today so therein lies the mystery Aaron Nola has had a rough time of it. His ERA is 5+ and his whip is 1.47 I am hopeful Nola doesn't piece it together and resemble his all star past LGM!
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago About time we are playing the Phillies #LGM

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago This is certainly the one that's most available to grab. I'm trying to convince myself that pitching Devin Williams once a week will really pay off in the second half.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Mets sure dragged their feets on posting their lineup, but it's pretty much the usual. METS Starting Pitcher: Sean Manaea LHP 1-2, 4.78 ERA, 51 SO Lineup: Carson Benge (L) RF Bo Bichette (R) SS Juan Soto (L) LF Jared Young (L) 1B A.J. Ewing (L) CF Marcus Semien (R) 2B Brett Baty (L) 3B MJ Melendez (L) DH Francisco Alvarez (R) C PHILADELPHIA Starting Pitcher: Aaron Nola RHP 3-4, 5.86 ERA, 71 SO NYM Lineup: Trea Turner (R) SS Kyle Schwarber (L) DH Bryce Harper (L) 1B Alec Bohm (R) 3B Brandon Marsh (L) RF Edmundo Sosa (R) LF Bryson Stott (L) 2B J.T. Realmuto (R) C Derek Hill (R) CF
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted 6 hours ago Author Posted 6 hours ago It's going to be hot and windy there. Let's keep Schwarber in the yard
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted 4 hours ago Author Posted 4 hours ago Soto's OPS is approaching 1.000 He has responded well to my scolding
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago A one-run lead is a start, but 41 pitches from Nola through two innings is also encouraging.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago And yet, a leadoff triple from Edmundo is not.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago This is looking like the front end of a battle of attrition. Both teams trying hard to keep their starter out there.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago And Manaea squeezes through five. Good time to grab the lead back here. I'm looking at you, Brett Baty.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Surprised Manaea Steamroller even went out there for the sixth.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I think it pretty much goes without saying that to put a hurtin' on Alvarado here would be real sweet.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Wagaman for Ewing is some kind of call. Mendoza going all in on the top of the seventh.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Tough call to make, but I thought it was the right one ... even before the hit.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago And Waggy breaks on through! Now Short in to pinch run ... for Waggy, not Vientos. So Short to short, Bo to third, Baty to right and Benji to center?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Is Waggy that bad with the glove? The guy you want to run for is Vientos.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Greatest foul tip EVER!! assuming it actually was a foul tip
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Doesn't matter if they both score! Vegas is right. Mendy put all his chips on the table.

Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago A 4 run lead would have been my preference

Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Had a bad feeling after the leadoff walk. Great job by Brazo and Minter.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Also. This is the first time I can remember sitting down to watch the game and seeing them leading!
