Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2025 Author Posted October 8, 2025 Schlittler's night ends with a Single - Fly Out - E-4 on Jazz*: so 1st & 3rd/one out* at least it better be an 'E', it was right at him and off his glove but hit hard and they're very lenient these daysIt's an easy inning-ending GiDP if he gloves it
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2025 Author Posted October 8, 2025 Jays get a two-run single and it's 4-1 Toronto.Still nine outs to get before this one is over.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2025 Author Posted October 8, 2025 I think Amed Rosario has gotten a hit in every single NYY AB I've seen him take this year..Just singled PH'ing to bring the tying run to the plate (Trent Grisham, with Judge on deck)... but old buddy Andres Gimenez (playing SS) catches a tricky foul pop to end the 7th
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2025 Posted October 8, 2025 Jays padding 5-1 now in the 8th. I would like a 24 hour channel of pissed off MFY fans to watch all winter

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2025 Author Posted October 8, 2025 Two on/two outs, bottom 8th.Ben Rice is PH'ing for Goldschmidt (lefty-righty thing) in the six hole. If the Jays can end it here not only will they take a four run lead into the 9th but will face 7-8-9 which, if they play it without any drama, will spare them facing Judge. But he walks.... but then a FO to LF on the very next pitch ends the inning. So the Jays need to go 1-2-3 in the 9th to avoid Judge.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2025 Author Posted October 8, 2025 Bottom 9: leadoff double, followed by a FO.Gotta load the bases before the tying run can even come to the plate. And now a very funky looking 3-1 for out #2.Runner on 3rd, Judge at the plate.Tying run still two spots behind him.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2025 Posted October 8, 2025 Thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Yankees lose!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2025 Author Posted October 8, 2025 Judge singles (off the walll in LF?!?)* to make it 5-2 but the tying run still on deck.Bellinger up.* yeah, right move by not trying for 2ndAnd now he K'zzzzzzzz!
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2025 Posted October 9, 2025 Well that was fun, actually watched all these games Jays are good
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2025 Posted October 9, 2025 I stayed up to watch their season end and then I dined on their fans' sweet sweet tears.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2025 Posted October 9, 2025 I will have extra pep in my step today. It felt great to see the MFYs rising young star pitcher Schlittler the bed.Later
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2025 Posted October 9, 2025 As they say, "Misery loves company." Glad to see the Blue Jays put an end to the Yankees season. I am pulling for a Milwaukee vs. Toronto World Series. I am pulling for the Blue Jays the rest of the way, since they knocked the Yankees out. Besides, I believe that a Canadian team having the audacity to win the World Series will likely piss off Trump.**Of course, I don't know if the imperial orange even cares about a cerebral sport like baseball or can even spell it for that matter.

Wait until he finds out that they will play the Canadian National Anthem. His head will explode.Later
