They can't win every game and there is always going to be the occasional bad game…but this team has to do more against the bad teams.



15-15 against the bad teams in the East isn't going to cut it.

It's like this game (coupled with the Phils seven touchdown win over the Braves) totally undid the gains made over the previous three days.

Mathematically, of course, it didn't but the aftertaste sure feels like it did.

Terribly sloppy, dispiriting game.



I get the Marlins' broadcasting team, who were spinning it as "the eager underdogs take advantage of the superior team's many mistakes" all night long, i.e., as a positive and wonderful game to watch.



Also, if you're interested in the Marlins' broadcast team, they were making a very big deal about the Mets' lefty batters hitting righties worse than lefties, McNeil and Mullins in particular, which is asinine. Yes, those two are hitting lefties better THIS SEASON, but that's obviously small sample size. Over their careers, they show the usual righty/lefty imbalance. But to hear them go and on, you'd think they'd discovered penicillin.
