The Mets and Mariners conclude their series by heading down to coobyland and historic Bowman Field in Williamsport for the 2025 Little League Classic. This will be the first trip to the Little League Classic for the Mariners and the second for the Mets, who played the Phillies in 2018. Bowman Field is now in its 99th year of baseball operations.

The Mariners come with righthander George Kirby (8-5, 3.71 ERA). Kirby has been red hot (6-1 with a 2.55 ERA and 49 strikeouts in 42 1/3 innings) over his last seven starts. The Mets, who will defend with Clay Homes, last faced Kirby in 2023, driving him from the game after three innings, with a a two-run Alonso homer serving as the big blow.

The game airs at 7 PM Eastern Time (4 PM Pacific) at will be carried by ESPN as part of Sunday Night Baseball. It will also be available on ESPN Radio.

Hopefully, cooby will be in the house.

Oh you know we'll be watching. Not sure but I think the game is for Little League only, not for public attendance, which I love.

There's been some good games this year, best so far was the Mexico vs PR last night.

Mets sliding down that hill…Lindor in the booth. He says he didn't smile so much until got his braces off, then his smile was ‘on point' 🙂

WINS all-news radio was announcing (on one of their very infrequent sports reports) that "The Mets are hosting Seattle at CitiField tonight".

I called the station and told them of the mistake, saying that you wouldn't want to go there and find out there isn't a game. It took them one full news cycle, but they corrected it. The traffic reporter said, the traffic on the Grand Central Parkway is heavy, even though the Mets won't be playing there tonight. The news anchor later said the game will be in Williamsport.

I'm expecting an ultra-dumb and gimmicky production

this evening. If it's really just the kids in the stands that's

nice. I hope Jardiance is a sponsor, so we'll get floor shows.

I saw Lindor and many of the Mariners spending time with the kids. Randy Arozarena was a big hit, last to leave and it speaks well of him

Five hits from the first seven batters in the lineup is a nice start.

The pick-off/CS didn't help matters. But, even with all their aggressive leads and early jumps, that's only the second time I can remember

them getting burned by it (Soto was the other).
