- Two NYM hits

- Four BAL leadoff hitters on base in 7 innings.

- Three of the seven runs scored with two outs.

- and then there's the 35-ft hit which scored a runner from 2nd

They really haven't yet recovered from that.

Even though the Orioles had been already winning 3-1, I'm calling that the Turning Point of the Game.

I guess I'd like th thank the O's for pulling the guy who retired four straight following the 3R HR ... but it probably doesn't matter at this point.

The game ending on a caller third strike is only too fitting.

But at least Taylor also took the first pitch for a called strike. That helped. Because the Mets were trailing. So don't swing at the first pitch.

Mendoza said in the post-game presser that its not even a question at this point---he's staying.

Manaea today means three lefties in a row. The radio booth asked when the last time that happened (three lefty Mets starters in a three game series)----those who didn't listen, have at it.

C'mon guys. I have a title for the next IGT. Don't let it go to waste.

Quintana's ERA since the start of August is 8.27. However, since the start of July, it's a more respectable 4.56 and since June 15, it's still a decent 3.86. The past four starts have been rough, but the two starts before that he allowed just one run each. In July, his ERA was 2.05. I'm not throwing the towel in on him, yet.

Still, a very sucky game. I had hope at one point there.

Also, Ottavino's ERA since June 8? 3.18 in 25 appearances. So, he's been better. Still don't want him back ever again, but he's been better.
