Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2024 Posted July 27, 2024 Look at the silver lining, the 5-1/3 innings he pitched this season were pretty darn good.

batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2024 Posted July 27, 2024 I'm surprised no one's blaming this on Mendoza (I'm not) for leaving Senga in to pitch the 6th after not having pitched in a major league game in almost a year. Mendoza gets blamed every single time a pitcher gives up a run, either for leaving him in the game, or for taking him out of the game.

Separately (and not applicable at this time), the Mets obtain a team option for 2028 if Senga has Tommy John surgery or is on the injured list for 130+ days with a right elbow injury.
