Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2024 Posted May 16, 2024 Has anyone made contact against a Philly reliever yet?We shouldn't have messed with Taijuan's toe.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 16, 2024 Posted May 16, 2024 Stewart has.And for his trouble, he gets pinch-run for with two out in the sixth.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2024 Posted May 16, 2024 Taylor misses the cutoff man, just as Bader did last night.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2024 Author Posted May 16, 2024 And it ends up costing us a run.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 16, 2024 Posted May 16, 2024 Somebody told these Phils to come out hacking against Garrett. It's good to hear Ron taking Taylor to task. If you're going to be a defensive replacement, you'd better have a defensive plan.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2024 Posted May 16, 2024 NYM ABs vs the Philly pen since T. Walker left the game w/one out/one on:FC, IF POK, IF PO, KK, K, 1B, KLO-5, GO-3, Foul PO 51 for 12, 5 fair balls hit, 5 Ks, one ball left the IF (on the ground)
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2024 Author Posted May 16, 2024 Bad throw costs us a run. Walk leads to another one. Anemic offense. It's the same thing every night.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2024 Posted May 16, 2024 Waited until the 7th to walk their first batter tonight.Didn't wait, however, to get him across the plate.
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2024 Posted May 16, 2024 They're gonna lose. You can just sense it.Maybe after getting swept by the Fishsticks over the weekend somealarms will go off and changes made.SQ = eh
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2024 Posted May 16, 2024 I really wish getting runners on made me more confident of scoring a run or two or three. But it has the opposite effect.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2024 Posted May 16, 2024 That was a pretty cool play
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2024 Posted May 16, 2024 (edited) We hand it to them ... and they're handing it right back. It's last night's game in reverse. Edited May 16, 2024 by Guest
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2024 Posted May 16, 2024 Sorta the opposite of Monday's game
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2024 Posted May 16, 2024 Two 3-1 putouts that inning which is nice considering we've messed up our share of those lately.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 16, 2024 Posted May 16, 2024 Good point about Monday's game flipped over.Hoffman threw nothing but garbage. Good moving slider but his control was all over the place. The Mets chased and chased and chased, but he finally got too wild even for that and he bounced them back into the lead.My little Mister Met Plush Toy here is yelling, "Don't swing!!!"
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 16, 2024 Posted May 16, 2024 Vientos shows we can chase against Ruíz, too.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 16, 2024 Posted May 16, 2024 With two lefties to open the ninth (On edit: THREE! FOUR!!), I'd be tempted to start the inning with Diekman. Also, Nido for defense?
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2024 Posted May 16, 2024 Is it time for a trumpet-worthy performance, or just a kazoo?Later
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2024 Posted May 16, 2024 Eh, keeping the GiDP in play wasn't important anyway.
