Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2024 Posted May 4, 2024 Well a 3-1 lead with three outs left to work with. I smell a 3-2 Mets defeat. Prove me wrong boyos
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2024 Posted May 4, 2024 Our offense is awful ,but the Rays just keep trotting out dominant arms
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2024 Posted May 4, 2024 Second time this week we've scored Nimmo leading off the 1st inning ... and then didn't score again.oe: we're very good at pop-ups.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2024 Posted May 4, 2024 Well they proved me wrong so there's that

bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2024 Posted May 4, 2024 One run and it was helped by a dropped/unseen fly ball. Meanwhile, Oakland scored 20, PHI scored 14, TX scored 15, and SD scored 13.

The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2024 Posted May 5, 2024 At least Christian Scott was as good (probably better) as we could have hoped for. He showed that being aggressive and throwing strikes can be very effective while also keeping your pitch count down so you can stay in the game longer. Hopefully, we get to see more of him this season.
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2024 Posted May 5, 2024 We got to see Scott, which is awesome. The Mets have a pretty deep core of minor league starting pitchers to turn to. It's not all a bunch of future superstars like the quinquevirate were supposed to be, but it's a good core.Scott HamelVasil (he's struggling now, though)TidwellSuarezNot to mention guys with MLB experience like Lucchesi and Kranick, who has done well in limited work so far at Double- and Triple-A.

Followed by a muff in RF and then a poor tag at the plate. We needed all three of those to score our lone run.
