Hey, I'm on an IGT roll ... one in a row! Between that and my now FOUR GAME WINNING STREAK in WORDLE!!!! I'm feeling hot.

This weekend we get a visit from the Wheredidthiscomefrom? 9-4 KC Royals

Yes, somehow the team that lost 106 games last year carries a 72-33 RS/RA ratio into the series as they sit only behind the

9-3 Guardians and 10-3 Yanx in the race for the AL 'Kings of April' crown.

And did you know their manager is named Mike Quatraro? Yeah, neither did I.

How are they doing it? Well, let's see:

- Now in his 3rd season [ROY 4th, MVP 7th] Bobby Witt Jr. is for real [.358/.414/.755//1169]

- Salvador Perez is apparently still good [OPS+ = 142] and still just 34 y/o (I would have guessed 57)

- six of their starting nine bats are 27 y/o or under

- their starting five all have ERAs sub-3.10

- and as opposed to our use of 19 arms to date, KC has used just 13 which is the same number

some managers use in one game so apparently no one gets hurt there or rides the AAA shuttle.

Tonight's starters: Luis Severino vs Michael Wacha (Wocka-Wocka)

Wacha, the brief one-time NYM, has allowed 3 earned on a combined 5 hits/2 BBs/13 Ks over 2 starts/12 IP

KC brings a 7-game winning streak to Flushing. Four game sweep of

the White Sox *chortle chortle* but they also kicked some Astrobutt.

Good test this weekend for both teams. Considering showing up to-

morrow for the Saturday matinee...

The same lineup two nights in a row?

Somebody wake up Buck. He must have fainted.

Yes.

wherever he is.

He used to drive me nuts with his constantly changing lineups, especially when he benched hitters who were hot. I sometimes thought he used a random number generator to make them.

Baty and Álvarez both hitting over .300. Vientos hitting .300 in Syracuse.

Getting better is often about just sticking with the plan until things kick in.

Here's this story!

Of a man name Baty!

And he was playing for the Mets and batting fifth!

He was a jedi and his bat was a light saber!

And Wacha was a sith!

Fifteen pitches through 1 1/3 for Garrett.

Please stay with the guy. Awesome enough to go for the next out from where I sit.
