The bearers of the Skyline logo prepare to eclipse the home of Skyline Chili. Jose Quintana, who last pitched about a month ago, takes on Hunter Greene (though neither will actually pitch to the other).

Howie went on at length about his dislike for Skyline Chili.



I've had it. It's like Cincy's version of White Castle. You know it probably a mistake, but it's what you do when you have time for one more bad decision before calling it a night.

Video kinda sucks, like they're playing in So Korea and I'm watching on a

I'm not getting the Apple+ broadcast, and so I'm following on WCBS and on GameDay.



GameDay has added this new feature that depicts the field. I wasn't really paying attention much until I saw that the little indicators that point to the defenders would move around as the defenders changed positioingn from pitch to pitch. Then I noticed that a tiny animated baseball would fly with from the mound to the catcher, and then the ballpark sensor data would show me the ball being thrown back by the catcher.



When the ball would be put into play, I could watch the defender's indicator chase it, and the indicator for the batter running the bases. When he makes an out, I get to watch him cut across the infield going back to the dugout.



A lot of energy and technology to show me a representation of the game — while restricting me from seeing the actual game.

A reminder that Apple TV+ allows you to sync directly to the team radiocasts, via an icon on the lower right of your screen.

I'm starting to wonder if maybe Brett Baty isn't a guy making good fielding plays, and maybe he's now actually a good fielder.
