During the 23 games of 'The Swoon' the Mets have scored 20 runs from the 7th inning on. That by itself suxx enough (< 1 R avg = < 3/G)



But wait, it gets worse: 14 of those 20 runs came in just three games, games that were already lopsided one way or the other!

So late in close games, the Mets are scoring at a rate that would net them barely one run per game.
